Tom’s interest in taxes, tax preparation, tax planning and government policies began in college in the early 1980’s, where he majored in Finance and Economics.  After graduating from St. John Fisher in 1984, Tom held several different positions in the finance industry, including Sr. Financial Analyst, Contract Analyst, Payroll Supervisor, Tax Analyst and Audit Specialist, which afforded him a great deal of exposure and experience in the detailed workings of how companies operate.  In 1991, Tom’s strong desire to work directly with customers and apply his tax knowledge prompted him to start his tax business as side business, while still working full time in the finance industry.

Over the course of the next 23 years, more and more customers were being added to Tom’s book of business mainly through customer referrals and local advertising.  The growth got to be so big that in 2014, Tom had to make a major decision to either cap the business at the current customer level, or go all out and grow the business to higher and higher levels.  Tom’s main passion for working full time with taxes and serving clients strongly overrode his efforts as a full time employee working for someone else, so he made the switch to devote all of his energies and efforts to his current business, Thomas M. Giunta Tax & Financial Services.  As part of this continued growth and expansion, Tom has also obtained his Life Insurance License and his Series 6 and 63 Security Licenses, and is able to assist and guide people with Life Insurance, Investments and Retirement Planning.  His ultimate passion and goal is to provide people with the financial tools and education needed to make wise financial decisions and assist them in whatever way he can to achieve financial success and freedom.
